Worker dies falling off reactor at Rooppur Nuke Plant

Pabna, Feb 23 — A 32-year-old worker of the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project in Pabna died after falling off the reactor of the plant on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Tushar Ahmed, son of Rafiqul Islam of Ishwardi Upazila of the district.

Asaduzzaman Asad, officer-in-charge (OC) of Ishwardi Police Station, said Tushar accidentally fell on the ground while working in the morning and sustained serious head injuries.

Later, he was rushed to Upazila Health Complex and then to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, said the OC. - UNB
