Woman dies crushed under broken tree during storm in Khulna

Khulna, Feb 27 - A woman died on Sunday as a coconut tree broke down and fell on her during a storm in Rupsha upazila in Khulna.

The deceased was identified as Krishna Paul, 50, wife of Nikhil Paul of Narkeli Chandpur village in the upazila.

The incident occurred around 6:30 pm as Krishna went to fetch water from the tube well when the stormy wind started, said her husband Nikhil.

Krishna was taken to Rupsha upazila health complex after rescuing where the duty doctors announced her death on arrival. - UNB News
