Four killed in separate road accidents in Ctg

Road Accident in Chittagong



Four people, including three of a family, were killed and three others injured in two separate road accidents in the district today.

Police said the accident took place in Bartakiya area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 1.30 pm when a cargo truck hit a CNG-run taxi from behind, leaving its three passengers, including a woman and a child, dead on the spot and three others injured.
The injured were sent to a local hospital.
The deceased are Nurjahan Begum, 45, wife of Abul Kalam, her daughter Kajal Rekha, 22, and six-month-old son Mohammad Anas, residents of South Bagachatar area of Sitakunda upazila in the district, reports BSS.
In another accident, madrasa student Mohammad Azwad, 13, son of Alamgir Hossain, died on the spot after being hit by a bus in Hathazari Sadar upazila today.
