5 injured as bus falls into canal in Dhaka’s Banasree

Five passengers were injured after an Alif Paribahan bus fell into the Meradia Canal in Dhaka’s Banasree  on Saturday evening.


Khilgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Daud Hossain told UNB that police and fire service personnel are working to rescue the bus from the canal.

After being informed, a fire service unit went to the spot at 6:10 pm, said Rozina Akhter, duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room, reports UNB.

Further information can be given after the bus is recovered from the canal, the police official added.
