2 killed as truck hits motorcycle in Satkhira

Two people were killed when a truck hit a motorcycle on Satkhira-Jashore highway at Choygharia in Sadar upazila of Satkhira district on Tuesday.


The deceased were identified as Joy, son of Jamal Uddin and Shihabuzzaman, son of Habibullah of Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred around 2 pm when the Kalaroa-bound truck rammed into a motorcycle carrying the duo, leaving them dead, said assistant sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station, Delwar Hossain.

Police could not arrest the truck driver and his helper as they managed to flee the scene.
