Man killed in road accident in capital’s Bijoy Sharani

A person was killed in a collision between two motorcycles on Saturday night at Bijoy Sharani, one of the busiest thoroughfares in the capital.


The deceased, identified as Emadul Haque Kajol (33), son of Mohammad Syed, hailed from Nesarabad, Pirojpur.

At around 7:30 PM, Emadul's motorcycle was struck by another motorcycle, causing him to be thrown onto the road. He sustained severe injuries and was immediately rescued. By 10:25 PM, he was brought to the Emergency Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Despite efforts by the duty doctors, Emadul was declared dead, reports UNB.

Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Faruk of the DMCH police outpost stated that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
