Three friends killed in road accident in Bogura

Bogura, February 2 – Three friends were killed in a road accident on the Bogura-Naogaon regional highway in Santahar, Bogura. 

The deceased were identified as Al Hossain (19), son of Abdur Rahman from Konkai village in Dupchanchia upazila, and Newaz (20) from Masterpara and Mithun (19), from the same area. 

Al Hossain's twin brother, Al Hasan, said, "On Sunday afternoon, nine friends went to visit the Naogaon Business Fair on three motorcycles. On our way back home, one motorcycle collided with a truck, and my brother Al Hossain, along with two others on the motorcycle, died on the spot."

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Azimul Haque of the Santahar police outpost in Adamdighi Upazila said, "The three were riding on one motorcycle when they lost control and were run over by an oncoming truck, causing their deaths at the scene. The bodies of the three have been recovered, but the truck fled the scene." - UNB
