8 Burnt in Narayanganj Gas line Explosion

Eight people sustained severe burns in a gas line leak explosion triggered by a leakage in Narayanganj's Dhakeshwari 2 area early Monday morning.


The explosion occurred at approximately 3:30 am when a gas line leak led to a violent blast, engulfing the victims in flames. The injured were rushed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery's emergency department for immediate medical attention.

Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the hospital, stated that most of the victims had suffered extensive burns. Their conditions remain critical, and doctors are closely monitoring their progress as treatment continues.

The explosion has raised concerns about the safety of gas lines in the area, prompting investigations to determine the cause of the leakage.
