Two HSC Examinees Killed in Road Crash in Kurigram

Two Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinees tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Kurigram on Sunday afternoon, police said.


The victims were identified as Sourav Ali, 19, from Minabazar Dhekiaram in Pandul Union, and Plabon Mia, 18, from the same district. Both were students at Kurigram Collectorate School and College.

According to the police, the two friends were riding a motorcycle back from Thanahat Bazar in Chilmari Upazila when a tractor struck them from behind in the Battala area of Nirashir Patar in Takabpur Union. Sourav died at the scene, while Plabon, severely injured, was rushed to Ulipur Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Zillur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Ulipur Police Station, confirmed that the bodies have been recovered, and legal actions are underway.
