Mother, Son Tragically Killed in Kushtia Road Accident

A tragic road accident in Kushtia district on Friday morning claimed the lives of a mother and her young son, while her husband sustained minor injuries. The incident occurred when a speeding drum truck collided with their motorbike at the Trimohini Bypass intersection around 9 a.m.


The deceased were identified as Ity Khatun, 30, and her three-year-old son, Ahnaf Ibrahim. Her husband, Abdul Kader Siddiqui, 40, was injured but was discharged after receiving first aid at Kushtia General Hospital.

According to Joydeb, the in-charge of Chaudhas highway police outpost, the truck crashed into the bike, killing the mother and child instantly. The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
