Six people sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in the Pakistan Maat area of Dhaka on Monday night.

The victims were immediately taken to the emergency unit of the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 10 PM, according to Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at the institute.

“One patient suffered 11% burns along with suspected inhalation injuries and has been admitted for further treatment. The others are being kept under observation,” Dr. Rahman reported.

The institute's director, along with on-duty doctors, visited the injured and provided necessary medical instructions.
