Gazipur, Apr 27 — Five members of a family sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in the Joydebpur area of Gazipur on Sunday night.

The victims are Parveen, 35, Saima, 30, Taslima, 30, Tanjila, 10, and one-year-old Ayan.

The incident occurred around 10:45 pm, said Dr. Shaon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the National Burn Unit.

The injured are now receiving treatment at the emergency department of the hospital, he added.

They are all in critical condition. - UNB
