3 killed in Savar road accidents

Three people were killed in two separate road accidents on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar early Monday and on Sunday night.

Around 6:00am on Monday, a Dhaka-bound Nabil Paribahan bus lost control and hit a road divider, killing its helper on the spot, said witnesses.

The deceased was identified as Md Anwarul Islam, 35, hailed from Panchagarh district.

Meanwhile, a private knocked down two pedestrians in Bank Town area on the Dhaka-Aricha highway while making a U-turn , leaving, both dead on the spot, said police.

The deceased were identified as Archana Rani, 39, and Ridoy Chandra Das, 23, from Netrakona district.

Savar police sergeant Md Shariful Islam confirmed the deaths, reports UNB.
