A pick-up driver and a mango trader were killed on the spot after being run over by another pick-up truck while changing a punctured tire on their vehicle in the town here last night.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Rony, 35, the driver of the pickup, and Abdul Mazid, a mango trader and passenger of the vehicle. Both hailed from Berabari village in Pabna district.

The fatal accident occurred in the Chalk Baidhanath Chamrapatti area of Natore town.

The pickup carrying mangoes was heading towards Pabna from Kansat in Chapainawabganj when it became immobilized due to a punctured tire. While Rony and Mazid were attempting to change the tire by the roadside, another unidentified pickup truck ran over them, killing both instantly, reports BSS.
