Two killed in separate road crashes in Bogura

Two people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Sherpur and Nandigram upazilas of the district today.


The victims were Momin Fakir, 38, a resident of Siraj Kandi village under Bhuapur Police Station in Tangail district and Morshedul Bari, 30.

The first accident occurred around 5:30 am in the Krishnapur Jamunapara area of Sherpur upazila on the Bogura-Dhaka highway.
 
According to highway police and local sources, a stationary truck undergoing repairs on the roadside was hit from behind by another speeding truck, leaving driver Momin Fakir on the spot.

His assistant, Nur Mohammad, 30, sustained serious injuries and was admitted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

In another incident, van driver Morshedul Bari succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the same hospital on Monday morning.
 
He was critically injured two days earlier when a private car rammed his van from behind on the Bogura-Natore highway in the Kaidala area of Nandigram upazila, reports BSS. 

The bodies were handed over to their respective families.
