Patuakhali, June 19 – Four people sustained burn injuries when a gas cylinder explosion at a trawler in Galachipa of Patuakhali district on Thursday.
The injured were identified as Hasan Kha, 38, riaz Hawladar, 45, Motaleb, 35 and Yusuf, 30.
The explosion occurred around 7:30 am at Boalia Sluice Gate in the upazila at the trawler while the fishermen were preparing to go for fishing in the Bay of Bengal, leaving four people injured.
The injured were taken to Galachipa Upazila Health Complex.
The situation of three fishermen was stated to be critical as they received 25 to 60 percent burn injuries, said Dr Mahmudul Hasan, duty doctor of Galachipa Upazila Health Complex.
They were taken to Barishal for better treatment. - UNB
