Two people were killed and four others injured as a speeding truck rammed into a three-wheeler at Hogladanga intersection in Khulna city on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Raihan and Jewel Babu, hailing from Hogladanga Basharia area of the city.

Quoting locals, sub-inspector of Harintana Police Station Babul Mia said the gas cylinder-laden truck lost control and crashed into the three-wheeler at the intersection, leaving Raihan dead on the spot and five others injured.

The injured were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where Jewel was declared dead by physicians upon arrival, he said, adding the rest of the injured were undergoing treatment there, reports UNB.

Raihan and Jewel were passengers of the three-wheeler, Babul Mia said.
