3 workers die falling from building in Jashore

Three construction workers were killed falling from the sixth floor of an under-construction building in Khorki Circuit Housepara area of Jashore town on Tuesday morning.


The deceased were identified as Mizanur Rahman (35), an engineer from Kushtia district, Azizul, manager of the construction site from Dinajpur district, and Nuru (45), a construction worker from Maharajpur village in Chapainawabganj district.

According to witness, when the victims were working on the sixth-floor balcony of the eight storeyed building it suddenly collapsed around 11:30, leaving them dead on the spot.

Locals rushed them to Jashore general hospital where doctors declared them dead, reports UNB. 

Kotwali Police Station Sub-Inspector Zahid said investigation is underway and legal action will be taken.

The bodies were kept at the Jashore general hospital morgue for post-mortem, he added.
