Motorcyclist killed in truck crash near Jatiya Press Club

A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a speeding truck while taking a U-turn at Jatiya Press Club intersection of Dhaka early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Sentu Islam, 45, son of Alauddin Khalashi of Islambagh, Eidgah Matth, Chawkbazar in the cpaital.
According to his friend Alamin, the accident occurred around 1:00am when the speeding truck ran over him at the time of taking the U-turn with the bike, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 1:45am, where physicians declared him dead.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Md Faruk said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, reports UNB.
