One killed in Naogaon road crash

A truck helper was killed and its driver injured when a stone-laden vehicle hit a stationary sand-laden truck in the Chouddamail area under Manda upazila of the district this morning.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred around 8:30am on the Naogaon-Rajshahi highway when a Rajshahi-bound stone-laden truck lost control and hit the stationary truck parked beside the road. The truck overturned, killing the helper on the spot and injuring the driver, said Mansur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Manda Police Station.
The injured driver was rescued and admitted to Manda Upazila Health Complex, reports BSS.
