Two killed in Bagerhat road crash

Two people were killed in a road accident in the Chanderhat area under Mollahat upazila of the district today.


The deceased were identified as Rajeshwar Baddhi, 65, a resident of Aga Kendua village, and Saiful Islam, 28, of Sakhipur village under Bamna Police Station in the district.

The accident occurred around noon on the Dhaka-Khulna highway when a speeding motorcycle hit a pedestrian while he was crossing the road.

Critically injured bike rider Saiful and pedestrian Rajeswar died on the way to Mollahat Upazila Health Complex, reports BSS. 

Officer-in-Charge of Mollahat Highway Police Station Sheikh Nuruzzaman confirmed the incident.
