Man killed in Naogaon train accident

A man was killed after being run over by train in Raninagar upazila of the district this morning.


The deceased was Babu Pramanik, 55, son of late Shamsher Pramanik of Shimulia Uttarpara village in Naogaon Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred around 9 am at Raninagar Railway Station when Chilahati-bound Titumir Express train from Rajshahi hit Babu while he was crossing the rail track, said Raninagar Railway Station Master Abdul Khalek

He died on the spot.

Santahar Railway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahfuz confirmed the matter, reports BSS.
