A 16-year-old boy drowned in the Bay of Bengal off Cox's Bazaar.

A 16-year-old boy drowned in the Bay of Bengal off Cox's Bazaar while taking bath on Wednesday, officials said on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Saiful, son of Habib Ullah, a resident of the Rohingya camp.
Hasanuzzaman, superintendent of Cox’s Bazar Police, said Saiful and his friend, Raihan (14), went to the beach area to take bath on Wednesday afternoon.
At one stage, Saiful was swept away by the strong current of the sea.
Local people fished out the body of Saiful around 6pm. They rushed him to the local hospital where doctors declared Saiful dead on arrival.
