Ctg Cylinder blast: One injured dies in Dhaka

One of the six burn victims in a fire incident in Satkania upazila of Chattogram died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Sunday.



Chattogram, July 11 : One of the six victims who suffered serious burn injuries in a fire incident in Satkania upazila of Chattogram district died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Helal Uddin, 36, son of Abdus Shukur of Charpara in the upazila.
Helal along with his five family members suffered burn injuries in the fire incident  triggered by a cooking gas cylinder blast in their home in Satkania upazila on Thursday night.
The other victims were identified as Sayed Ahmed, 65, Shahnewaz, 40, Khaleda Begum, 45, Abdus Shukkur, 36, and Delwar Hossain, 50.
The injured were taken to Satkania Upazila Health Complex. Of them, four have been shifted to the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital after their conditions deteriorated.
On Friday, three of the victims were taken to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where Helal succumbed to his injuries around 9:45 on Saturday, said Satkania municipal panel mayor Saiful Alam Sohel, reports UNB.
