Truck-microbus collision leaves 2 dead in Natore

Natore, May 18 -- Two persons were killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Baraigram upazila of Natore in the early hours of Wednesday, police said.

The deceased were identified as bus driver Moniruzzaman and one of its passengers, Al Mahbub, both residents of Chuadanga Sadar upazila.

The accident occurred around 2am when the Bonpara-bound truck crashed into the Rajshahi-bound microbus, said Firoz Hossain, a sub-inspector with Bonpara highway police.

The two died on the spot in the impact of the collision, he said. "The injured is being treated at a private hospital in Bonpara." - UNB
