Worker dies falling off under-construction building in Dhaka

A construction worker died after falling off the eighth floor of an under-construction building in the city’s Mohammadpur area on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Md Zihad, 25.

Md Abu Shakil, a co-worker of the deceased, said Zihad fell down from the 8th floor of the under-construction building at noon, reports UNB.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead, said inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.

The body was kept at the hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added.
