The 200-feet long boundary wall of Payra Port that leaned Tuesday is being removed, finally.
The contracting firm ABM Water Company yesterday (January 31) afternoon started the work to remove the wall upon the order of the port authority.
Azizur Rahman, Deputy Director (Traffic) and Media Wing of Payra Port Authority, said the authority has ordered the contracting firm ABM Water Company to reconstruct the leaned wall after removing it.
What kind of administrative action will be taken against the contracting firm will be informed later, he added.
The contracting firm ABM Water Company is constructing the guide wall of around 3,000-feet length at the cost of Tk 11 crore.
