The government has increased the commission rates on fuel sales for petrol pump owners.



The government has increased the commission rates on fuel sales for petrol pump owners.

The Ministry of Power Energy and Mineral Resources published a notification in this regard on Tuesday (September 26).

According to the gazette notification, the commission on sale of octane has been increased from 4 per cent to 4.28 per cent. Petrol has been increased from 3 per cent to 4.34 per cent and diesel from 2 per cent to 2.85 per cent.

Earlier on September 3, the petrol pump owners around the country had called an indefinite strike to press home their three-point demands, including 7.5 per cent increase in commission on the sale of fuel oil. Later, they called off the strike following assurance from the government.
