148 BGB platoons deployed across the country

Shariful Islam, public relations officer at BGB headquarters, confirmed the matter on Tuesday (December 19).



A total of 148 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country amid the ongoing blockade called by BNP and its allies.

Among them 18 platoons had been positioned in Dhaka and adjacent areas. Besides, a sufficient number of BGB platoons were kept standby.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) announced a fresh hartal on Tuesday (December 19) demanding free, fair, neutral and participatory election and the release of the party leaders and activists.
