Thousands of people gathered at the green yard of Ganabhaban, the prime minister’s official residence.

They came to the Ganabhaban to greet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her party Awami League for securing a landslide victory in the January 7 parliamentary polls.

Members of the cabinet, newly elected Awami League MPs, leaders, and activists of several wings of the party are waiting to hear from their leader Sheikh Hasina.

Meanwhile, the new Awami League MPs are set to take oath at the parliament on Wednesday.

Awami League Office Secretary and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Biplab Barua confirmed the matter.
