Remittance inflow rises to $2.04 billion in April

Expatriate Bangladeshis sent $2.04 billion remittances in April, which is 21.3 per cent higher than the corresponding period of the preceding year.

The country received $1.68 billion remittances during the month of April, 2023.
According to bankers, the flow of remittances usually rises during Eid.
In March, remittances dipped below the $2 billion mark after two months amid the weakening of the dollar against the Taka, reports BSS.
Data from the Bangladesh Bank show expatriate Bangladeshis sent home $1.99 billion in March.
