Nasir-ud-Daulah, an Additional Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, and K. M. Ali Newaz, an Additional Secretary at the Election Commission Secretariat, have been elected president and secretary general, respectively, of the Bangladesh Administration Service Association, or BASA.

The new committee will serve a two-year term.

The decision was made unanimously during a meeting held at the BIAM Auditorium in the capital on Sunday night, according to a press release from the organisation.

The release said that the new committee was formed in accordance with BASA’s constitution, following the end of the tenure of the previous president, Dr. Md. Anwar Ullah, and secretary general, Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman, reports UNB.

BASA officials from various BCS administration batches, working in and around Dhaka, were present at the meeting.
