Mohammad Sufiur Rahman has been appointed as the special assistant to the Chief Adviser.
The Cabinet division issued a notification in this regard on Sunday.
According to the notification, Sufiur will hold the rank and status of the state minister.
Besides, he was given the executive authority of the Foreign Ministry to assist the Chief Adviser under the Rules of Business, 1996.
He will also receive the salary and other allowances and benefits entitled to a state minister, reports UNB.
