Farmers demand cancellation of canal, reservoir lease
Farmers form a human chain in Kalapara demanding stoppage of canal and water reservoir lease on Monday.
Patuakhali: A human chain and rally was held to demand purchase of paddy at a reasonable price of Tk 1500, removal of measurement manipulation in paddy purchase, cancellation of leases of all canals, bills, reservoirs of the upazila and release of encroachment. The rally and human chain was held at 10 am on Monday at the initiative of Bangladesh Farmers Association Nilganj Union Branch.
