Algeria’s Balat Brothers Slaughterhouse Company and Bangladesh’s Ashta Feed Industries Limited have signed an export contract for the supply of animal proteins to Bangladesh.

Under this contract, the value of exports will increase to $3.5 million annually, said the Algerian Embassy in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Professor Kamal Rezig witnessed the signing ceremony.

Lakhdar Balat, General Manager of the Balat Group, and Mosharaf Hossain Chowdhury, Chairman of Ashta Feed Industries Limited, signed the contract, valued at $1.2 million.

Balat Brothers Slaughterhouse Company had previously exported $2.5 million in the last three years, reports UNB.
