Musical and Drawn Journey
Dhaka, 12 October 2026 — Alliance Française de Dhaka and Liberation War Museum is pleased to present Le Voyage de Rézé, a unique musical and visual performance that brings together live music, singing, drawing and video to create a poetic and colourful journey.
Created by Les Productions du Bazar, Le Voyage de Rézé is a light and intimate multidisciplinary performance built around four artists. Through voices, guitar, percussion, drawings and songs, the performance invites audiences to experience a journey centred on exchange, encounters, cultural dialogue, borders and differences.
Rather than a conventional concert, the performance unfolds as a shared artistic journey. Songs from different places and cultures are woven together with original compositions, familiar melodies and forgotten or newly created songs. As the music develops, the world of the songs gradually takes shape through live drawing, creating a visual narrative alongside the sound.
The project has been presented in a wide range of venues and cultural settings in France, including theatres, cultural centres, schools, libraries and festivals. The artists have also developed projects internationally, including in Réunion, El Salvador, Burkina Faso and Brazil, where performances have been accompanied by encounters, workshops, exhibitions and travel journals.
The Artists
The performance brings together four artists whose distinct practices come together to create the rich, multidisciplinary world of Le Voyage de Rézé. Rézé, guitarist, singer and composer, draws on jazz as well as African and Brazilian musical traditions, bringing together original compositions and diverse musical influences. Sofiran, a percussionist and vocalist, contributes a rhythmic dimension shaped by his exploration of African, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian musical traditions. Emé, an artist, illustrator and live sketch artist, transforms observations of people, places and encounters into drawings created directly before the audience, making the visual element an integral part of the performance. Christoo, working across video, photography and artistic production, contributes to the stage management and visual storytelling, complementing the live music and drawing with images and video. Together, their complementary artistic languages create a performance that moves naturally between sound, image and movement, inviting audiences into a shared journey of discovery and cultural encounter.
For Le Voyage de Rézé, travel is not simply about moving from one place to another. It is a way of discovering people, cultures, languages, emotions and stories. The performance creates a space where music and images become a common language, inviting audiences to listen, observe and participate in an encounter with the unfamiliar.
The project also has an educational and participatory dimension. The artists regularly conduct intergenerational workshops in music, rhythm and percussion, drawing, photography and video, using artistic practice as a form of transmission and dialogue.
