Dhaka, November 31, 2024 — The EMK Center was filled with laughter and energy as Dhaka’s top comedians brought the house down during the much-anticipated Hahakar Comedy Tour. An audience of over 60 comedy enthusiasts gathered on Thursday night to experience a vibrant evening hosted by the ever-witty Sharar Shayor. The comedy lineup featured Dhaka’s celebrated comedians Ashraful Haque Emu, Maheen Ibrahim, Sadat Kabir Rudro, and Tonoy, each delivering a unique take on daily life and social quirks, much to the delight of attendees.

The evening began with Sharar Shayor’s energetic introduction, setting the stage for each comedian to unleash their signature style of humor. Ashraful Haque Emu’s relatable stories, Maheen Ibrahim’s quick wit, Sadat Kabir Rudro’s infectious energy, and Tonoy’s punchy delivery had the audience in fits of laughter throughout the event. This lighthearted comedy show allowed attendees to unwind, enjoy Dhaka’s best comic talent, and engage in a shared appreciation of laughter.

In line with its mission to foster cultural engagement and open conversation, the EMK Center created a space for humor to connect and entertain. Since its founding in 2012, the EMK Center has been a hub for events that inspire, entertain, and encourage informed discussions. Co-managed by the JAAGO Foundation and the American Center of the U.S. Embassy in Bangladesh, the Center continues to be a cornerstone of cultural exchange and community building in Dhaka.
