A.k Jilani, youngest advocate for individuals with autism and disabilities, is poised to participate in an international conference in the United States focused on autism spectrum disorder. His nomination underscores his remarkable contributions to social welfare, innovative initiatives, and tireless dedication to improving the lives of children with autism in Bangladesh.

Jilani’s journey into advocacy began with a deeply personal experience—his  Brother’s diagnosis with autism spectrum disorder. This life-changing event inspired his to pursue training in autism management and become a powerful voice for families facing similar challenges.

As the General Secretary of the "Parents Forum for Differently Able," he spearheaded campaigns to raise awareness about disability rights and founded the Inspiration Welfare Society, an organization providing vital support to marginalized communities. Through this organization, he has implemented therapy programs, vocational training, and mental health interventions while also rehabilitating individuals with severe mental health challenges and hosting healthcare camps for families impacted by autism.

Hir media initiative, Hat BariyeDilam, aired on RTV, has been instrumental in showcasing the talents of autistic children. This program, recognized by UNICEF, has not only raised awareness but also celebrated the achievements of children with autism.

Jilani’s advocacy extends to his family as well. His brother, shariful , now a celebrated autistic entrepreneur, has gained national recognition for his handcrafted jewelry and artwork, inspiring families across Bangladesh.

For his relentless efforts, A.k Jilani has received several prestigious accolades, including the Minister’s Award in 2022, the Autism UttaranSammamona Award, and the CJFB Prerona Padak 2024. These honors reflect his unwavering dedication and the tangible change he has brought to his community.
