“Sound Within Stillness” — Second Solo Art Exhibition by Farzana Rahman Bobby Opens at Alliance Française de Dhaka

Alliance Française de Dhaka is delighted to announce the opening of Sound Within Stillness, the second solo art exhibition by Bangladeshi artist Farzana Rahman Bobby. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday, 30 October 2025 at 5:30 PM at La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka, Dhanmondi, and will remain open to the public until 8 November 2025, with visiting hours from 3 PM to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday.

Sound Within Stillness invites viewers on an immersive journey into the quiet, often unnoticed rhythms of nature and life. Rooted in Farzana Rahman Bobby’s deep love for the natural world and her quiet observation of life around her, the exhibition reveals a delicate harmony between stillness and movement, silence and resonance.

In her mixed-media artworks, Bobby works with leaves, roots, and trees — the living forms that hold the rhythm of the earth. Through her distinctive abstract language, she portrays these organic elements into visual meditations that reflect both nature’s nurturing spirit and the fragile balance it sustains amid modern environmental challenges.

Working vividly with layered textures, fluid patterns, and organic motifs, Bobby employs diverse printmaking and mixed-media techniques to breathe life into her compositions. Her canvases echo the interconnectedness of all living things — capturing the subtle pulse of life that flows through every vein, branch, and root.

Each piece encourages viewers to pause and sense the pulse of life within stillness — where silence becomes alive and deeply meaningful.
