The 278th meeting of the Board Audit Committee of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC was held on 28 April 2026 at the bank’s Corporate Head Office in Dhaka. The meeting reviewed key audit-related matters and discussed issues linked to internal controls, compliance, and overall financial governance of the bank.

The session was chaired by Md. Reazul Karim, Chairman of the Board Audit Committee. Members of the committee, Fakir Mashrikuzzaman and Fakir Maniruzzaman, also attended and took part in the discussions.

The meeting was further attended by Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Company Secretary Md. Abul Bashar, who were present to support the committee’s deliberations and provide necessary updates on operational and regulatory matters.

The committee reviewed ongoing audit activities and emphasized maintaining strong internal control systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Discussions also focused on strengthening risk management practices in line with the bank’s governance framework.

Officials noted that such regular audit committee meetings play a key role in reinforcing good governance practices and ensuring that the bank’s operations remain aligned with both internal policies and regulatory standards.
