Faisal Rahman joins as new CEO of Prime Bank

Faisal Rahman has joined as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prime Bank PLC.


The appointment, recently approved by the authorities, takes effect on Sunday, the bank said in a press release.

Prior to his new role, Faisal served as the Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Business Officer of the Wholesale Banking Division at Prime Bank.

According to the media release, Faisal Rahman is a senior banker with over three decades of experience in the financial sector.

He possesses extensive expertise in corporate and institutional banking, corporate finance, structured finance, sustainable finance, and strategic leadership. He successfully spearheaded Prime Bank’s corporate banking transformation program and significantly strengthened relationships with key corporate clients, it said.

During his illustrious career, Faisal held various leadership positions at Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh, and Crédit Agricole Indosuez before joining Prime Bank.

He is widely recognised for successfully managing several high-profile financing initiatives across critical sectors, including power and energy, infrastructure, aviation, and sustainable finance, reports UNB.

Faisal Rahman holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Economics, and a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), the bank statement added.
