SME Entrepreneurs training organised by Islami Bank concludes in Noakhali.



The closing ceremony, certificate distribution and investment disbursement under the Entrepreneurship Development Program for promising SME entrepreneurs, jointly organized by Bangladesh Bank and Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, was held on Sunday, 5 July 2026, at the Bank’s Noakhali Zonal Office. 

The month-long training program was conducted under the supervision of the SME & Special Program Department (SME and SPD) of Bangladesh Bank as part of the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP) of the Finance Division, Ministry of Finance, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 

The program was chaired by Md. Anwar Hossain, Executive Vice President and Head of Noakhali Zone of Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC. Md. Masum Billah, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank attended the program as the Chief Guest while Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the Special Guest. Mohammad Mohiuddin Mahmud, head of Maijdee Court Branch and Md. Harunur Rashid, head of Chowmuhani Branch also attended the program.

Certificates were awarded to the participating entrepreneurs during the ceremony. Islami Bank Merchant QR services were also provided to the participants, and on-the-spot investment was disbursed to three entrepreneurs. It may be mentioned that 25 selected entrepreneurs from the districts of Noakhali, Feni, and Lakshmipur participated in the month-long training program. – Press release
