Automation needs to be introduced in banks: BB Deputy Governor

Dhaka, Nov 28 - Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Kazi Sayedur Rahman has laid emphasis on introducing automation in private and government-owned banks to handle customer complaints effectively.

The Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor emphasized this while speaking as chief guest at a half day-long seminar on “Automation to Handle Customer Complaints in Banks: Current Status, Clients’ Satisfaction and Challenges” at Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) at Mirpur in the capital today. 

Rahman, also BIBM Executive Committee Chairman, stressed the need for ensuring better service to the bank account holders as well as borrowers through resolving customer complaints by introducing automation in the banks.

Md Mahbubur Rahman Alam, Associate Professor, BIBM, presented the keynote paper at the seminar, chaired by BIBM Director General Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman.
