Lecture on Central Banking held



Dhaka, Mar 07 – The third A. K. N. Ahmed Memorial Lecture on Central Banking was held at Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) at Mirpur in Dhaka today. 

Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Chief Advisor of East West University, gave keynote speech at the programme.

Abdur Rouf Talukder, Chairman of BIBM Governing Board and Governor of Bangladesh Bank, presided over the session. BIBM Director General Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman made address of welcome.

Eight Masters in Bank Management (MBM) students were awarded Tk 50,000 and crest as part of A. K. N. Ahmed Talent Award.  

Among others, former Governors, Deputy Governors, Executive Directors of Bangladesh Bank, Managing Directors of Banks, faculty members of BIBM, senior bank executives, academicians took part at the programme.

Late A.K. N. Ahmed was the second Governor of Bangladesh Bank. He served Bangladesh Bank from 1974 to 1976.
