IMF approves 3rd tranche of $1.1b loan for Bangladesh

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has approved the release of US$1.115 billion in the third tranche of the $4.7 billion loan package allocated for Bangladesh.

Talking to BSS, Bangladesh Bank Spokesperson Mezbaul Haque said the IMF board has approved the third instalment of our credit.

"We are expecting $1.115 billion to be released by the next two days," he added.
