Aparup Chowdhury elected Chairman of UCB

Dr Aparup Chowdhury, Independent Director of United Commercial Bank (UCB), has been unanimously elected as Chairman of United Commercial Bank PLC in the board meeting held today at the corporate office of UCB.

Moreover, Bashir Ahmed has also been elected as the Executive Committee Chairman of UCB, said a press release.

Dr Aparup Chowdhury was former Secretary to the government of Bangladeshworking consistently for 37 years with progressively increasing responsibilities in field administration, policy pool of different ministriesand organizations as well as corporate bodies, reports BSS.

Bashir Ahmed is also the Managing Director of Airmate Goodie ElectricalIndustries Ltd, Goodie Accessories (Pvt) Ltd, International Distribution Company Bangladesh (Pvt) Ltd, B&B Electronics, B&B Food & Beverage, B&BElectrical & Electronics, Dhaka Electrical & Electronics, Bard International Mettle Emporium, Petal Enterprise etc.
