Islami Bank board approves Tk. 10 crore for flood victims

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC will donate Tk. 10 crore to the relief and welfare fund of the Chief Advisor of the interim government to help the flood affected people in different districts of the country. The decision was taken in the meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on the virtual platform on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

Md. Obayed Ullah Al Masud, Chairman of the bank presided over the meeting while Mohammad Khurshid Wahab, Md. Abdul Jalil, Dr. M. Masud Rahman and Md. Abdus Salam, independent directors, Mohammed Monirul Moula, Managing Director and Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Company Secretary (Current Charge) of the bank attended the meeting. Earlier, the employees of the bank donated two days’ equivalent of their salary which is Tk. 5 crore for the flood affected people. The meeting has taken some important policy decision of the bank. – Press release
