Dhaka, Wednesday, May 7, 2025: A media report titled ‘Election Commission temporarily suspends access to NID server’ has drawn BRAC Bank’s attention. Citing sources of the Election Commission, the media reported that there was an attempt to hack the NID database information through the bank. In fact, BRAC Bank assures everyone that its technology security system, as expected, worked successfully and no information from the NID database was leaked through the bank’s system.

BRAC Bank’s technology infrastructure is robust and impregnable, capable of

preventing any hacking attempt. The system is also constantly supervised by a skilled and professional team. Given the steps taken by the Election Commission, BRAC Bank immediately launched an investigation. The bank is working with law enforcement agencies to take prompt, punitive action against the responsible party or parties.
