Islami Bank wins Excellence in Islamic Banking Card Award

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC achieved the award in the “Excellence in Islamic Banking Cards” category for issuing the highest number of VISA branded debit cards among Islamic banks in the country. The award was presented at the VISA Leadership Conclave-2025 ceremony held recently organized by VISA at a hotel in Dhaka. Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, governor of the Bangladesh Bank addressed the program as the chief guest. Arief Hossain Khan, executive director of Bangladesh Bank and special guest of the event, handed over the award to Dr. M Kamal Uddin Jasim, deputy managing director at Islami Bank.

Sandeep Ghosh, country manager for South Asia and India, Sabbir Ahmed, country manager for Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan at VISA; Md. Maznuzzaman, head of Business Promotion and Marketing Division and Md. Mosharraf Hossain, head of Digital Banking Wing of Islami Bank along with executives and officials from different organizations were present on the occasion. – Press release
