BAU BCL section demand expulsion committee

Dhaka – A section of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leaders and activists demanded the expulsion of the existing expired committee and also demanded immediate punishment who are involved in the attack on election seekers to the upcoming committee. They voiced the demand
at a press conference at university journalist’ association office .
On 24 March, BAU BCL unit president and general secretary followers attacked me and former Joint General Secretary Taifur Rahman Riyad, joint general secretary Nur-a Alam Topon, deputy secretary Istiaq Eishan and injured 20 more. We want to abolish the expired committee for safeguarding students’ campus, a fair political environment, and permanent expulsion of the attackers said BAU BCL executive member Rashed Khan Milon on a written statement.
BAU BCL vice-president Anwarul Haque, AFM Anisuzzaman Jony and 30 more leaders and activists attended on the press conference.
BAU BCL president Sabuj Kazi said that a portion of BCL party has tried to destroy the fair environment of the campus. Regarding the validity committee, he said, if we get the instructions of the BCL central committee, we will arrange a conference for giving a new committee.
University proctor Prof Dr Md Azharul Haque said, no grouping of BCL will be accepted in the campus. Within seven working days sufficient action will be taken against those who involved in the attack. – BAU Correspondent
